Women March event
Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation celebrates the 19th Amendment centennial at the Center for Women's History.
In celebration of Deutsche Bank’s 150th anniversary and the centennial of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, CSR Americas hosted employees and clients for a viewing of the exhibit Women March at the New York Historical Society’s Center for Women’s History. Recognizing this milestone in women’s rights history, Deutsche Bank Americas’ CEO Christiana Riley provided opening remarks and joined conversations throughout the evening.
Women March explores the collective action of women and their role in expanding democracy in the centuries before and after the suffrage victory. The exhibit also documents the complexity of organizing for freedom in the 100 years since ratification and continued struggles for equality.
Since 2017, Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation has proudly underwritten the development of the Center’s online curriculum to reinstate women’s experiences and contributions back into the narrative of American history. These resources will provide educators and students with a truer, more comprehensive picture of our collective history.
