Immigrant Students and English Language Learners

Over the past three years, the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation has supported nonprofit organizations that deliver services to improve student learning and raise academic performance for English Language Learners and recent immigrant students. The foundation has also promoted opportunities for these organizations to form a network around a shared vision for immigrant education. Deutsche Bank partnered with the George Washington University Center for Equity and Excellence in Education to evaluate the effectiveness of the network in sustaining innovative strategies. George Washington University’s preliminary findings have demonstrated that the most promising practices for students are those that address needs holistically. The report will be used to direct Deutsche Bank’s future investments and will be available online.
