Coaching youth for professional success

Vocational and job search training helps young people enter the workforce and embark confidently on a career.

Nationwide in Argentina, 30% of 18- to 24-year-olds are ill-prepared for competitive employment in well-paying jobs, leaving them to jump from job to job in the informal labor market. To help address this crisis, Deutsche Bank Argentina is partnering with Fondation Forge, a not-for-profit organization that provides vocational and life-skills training to help underserved youth achieve gainful employment and a path to advancement.

How it works

In its two-year Training and Work Program, Forge helps students discover and nurture their individual strengths, develop professional aptitudes and plan their careers. In the first year, participants attend classes twice-weekly at a Forge Training Center and are introduced to career paths that are highly valued in Argentina's current labor market.

During the second year of the program, Forge staff provide individualized guidance to students as they continue their training and enter into the workforce. Additionally, volunteers from Deutsche Bank and other corporate partners meet with the students to conduct mock interviews and share insights from their own careers. Upon completing the program, 80% of participants successfully land an entry-level job in a growth field.
