Deutsche Bank’s statement on Australia's Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions decision to drop all cartel charges
Deutsche Bank welcomes the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions’ decision to drop the prosecution in its entirety. We have vigorously defended these charges since they were laid in 2018. We have always maintained that our bank and our staff, including two former staff members Michael Ormaechea and Michael Richardson, acted responsibly, in the interests of clients and in a manner consistent with all rules and regulations. We recognise the significant impact that this case has had on the lives of the individuals involved but we are pleased to see that they have been vindicated. We would like to thank our staff and clients for their support and loyalty throughout this time. We look forward to continuing our proud history as a leading international bank in the Australian market.
