Joerg Bongartz, Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank Ltd and Head of Global Transaction Banking Russia, relocation to Frankfurt.

Joerg Bongartz, Chairman of the Management Board of  Deutsche Bank Ltd and Head of Global Transaction Banking Russia, who held this position since 2006, will relocate to Frankfurt and will assume a broader responsibility in the Central and Eastern European business of the bank. This move has been long planned.

Joerg Bongartz joined the bank in 1982. In the past decade, Bongartz helped to build a robust transaction banking platform in Russia. He contributed to the development of the Russian financial market infrastructure through roles with the Foreign Investment Advisory Council, the National Settlement Depository, and various banking and business associations.

His successor has been identified internally and nominated by the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Ltd.  The appointment is subject to approval by regulatory authorities. The new Chairman will be announced in due course.
