Deutsche Bank in the People's Republic of China

Deutsche Bank first established a presence in China in 1872 with the opening of its first overseas office in Shanghai. Headquartered in Beijing, Deutsche Bank China Co., Ltd. (Deutsche Bank China) was officially incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG in 2008. Deutsche Bank China has branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing and Qingdao. Deutsche Bank also maintains securities representative offices in Beijing and Shanghai.

Deutsche Bank China operates the following business divisions: Corporate Banking & Securities, Global Transaction Banking, and Wealth Management.

Business Divisions

Corporate Banking & Securities

Corporate Banking & Securities in China comprises Markets and Capital Markets & Treasury Solutions.

Markets combines the sales, trading and structuring of a wide range of financial market products, including bonds, equities and equity-linked products, exchange traded and over-the-counter derivatives, foreign exchange, money market instruments, securitized instruments and commodities.

Capital Markets & Treasury Solutions covers and serves the treasury-related needs of our clients. It is responsible for the delivery of the entire suite of financing, risk management and treasury product solutions.

Global Transaction Banking

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) provides commercial banking products and services for corporates and financial institutions, including account services; payables, receivables and supply chain financing; liquidity management; loans; foreign exchange; as well as trust and securities solutions. GTB is one of the key pillars of Deutsche Bank. It comprises the Cash Management, Trade Finance and Trust & Securities Services businesses.

Wealth Management

Part of the new Asset & Wealth Management division that combines the asset and wealth management capabilities of Deutsche Bank, the Wealth Management business in China provides wealth management solutions and private banking services to high-net-worth clients and family offices. This covers diversified foreign currency services, RMB products and investment solutions (including general deposits and loans, special deposits (such as agreement deposit) and loans), tailor made solutions such as structured products, QDII products, insurance agency services, as well as other investment wealth management solutions approved by the regulatory authorities.
